nothing really

might have a slightly different bend to the manifold pipe

came with a rubber part on that area that goes threw the frame which is like the later frame dust thingy but this one is slimmer

I had to file the manifold threw stud holes a little to get it slide on
easy

it looked like a better fit where the carb slides on so hopefully that keeps the carb on tight
shall see

the saga continues

Gidget might be out for a bit if I (and anyone else who has time to give me advice) can't fix her rear rim this saterday...

the rim got bent when she "jumped" that train track on the last ride with Joe and I....
where the tire bead seals onto the rim on the exhaust side.

the engine side of this old school rear rim/hub design is not like my small frame v100 rims... this is a hub & rim setup that is hub on one side and a 1/2 rim on the other side. I was going to just throw on my spare complete rim and tire but it won't work at all.

the work around, as I told her, is to take apart the bent rim and "work" on the bent part with hammer and tools.

At least the hub side is healthy

call me saterday afternoon if anyone can help me get this done fast

not too bad a price

she should get a spare for such situations / carry on longer rides
that is what most of us try to do

Will can one of your outer rims be redrilled for the correct number of bolt holes?

maybe
the rim that is bent on her scoot is a shallow 1/2 (pipe side)... the studs are on the hub side

If I can do this for her I'll just swap out my 1/2 for her for free as a gift
I don't care about a old rim
I care about getting her back on the road with a large smile

Once the rim/hub is apart I'll compare it to mine

Dave - you around at all saterday to give me a second opinion (3pm or soon there after)
I don't want to do anything that would be not safe for her

thanks pal

swapped out the good with the bad (Molly provided a used rim I cannibalized)

now Gidget has a mod looking rear rim/hub that works perfectly

lets ride
