Landon thinks it is the crank too = big end or small or both...

thanks for the help...!!

Time for new reed flowed large taper crank that will fit into case without milling to keep this as cheap as I can... motor will need new bearings to match the new crank surfaces I believe. I know they are out there to be had. Might do more... we will see.

Thank the Lord P-Town does SIP orders weekly...!!

http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/produ ... +_46080000
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/produ ... +_46090000

most have slightly different #'s....??
all are reed valve,
most are stroke 51,0mm or 54,0mm
conrod 97,0mm or 105,0mm

19/20mm, M10 cone
or
20/20mm, M12 cone

whats up....???
inlighten me please or even point put better cranks for my application / kit.
I read once that the 54,0mm is great but I think that would in tail milling the case so it would fit...??

talk to night @ the lope

the 54mm stroke would require a spacer plate and/or other modifications to get the port timing right. it would be potentially tricky, haven't done one before.

the 19/20 and 20/20 refer to the seal/bearing sizes. m10 is the small taper, m12 is the large taper. the 24/25 is the strongest i believe, but you will be changing bearings and seals.

this is a badass crank http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/produ ... +_46090000 and it has the large taper. if you want to stick with your current ignition and not get caught in that trap of "i can buy one part for $150 but i need it to match 4 other parts that are expensive and now need to be changed" then i would seriously consider this one http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/produ ... +_46070000
which would allow you to keep your current ignition setup.
Cheers,
Geoff

Long stroking wont rev as high, but more torque.
If you keep fiddling with it, it's going to fall off...

Hi will. worb 5 lip crank is designed for a case inducted reed. if you are gonna the cylinder reed you want a different setup.
The 54/105 cranks requires case modification and is meant to be run with the falc/ polini evo/ or w force cylinders.

stock malossi 135 porting and transfers,
exhaust = 182 deg,
intake time = 120 degs,
blowdown = 30 degs,

will have bore to piston clearance checked for right spec
& the squish set to 1.25 - 1.5mm

Done:
- swapped over the old engine longer clutch arm and cover = better leverage for better engine = :)
- checked new engine clutch = has 9 plates = 3 more than old engine = :)
- grind swing arm sightly for 3.5x10 tire clearance
- grind down the clutch cover bolts slightly for larger tire clearance
- bore to piston clearance is right
- throw new engine into frame and start cables
- squish is right
- take barrel to the machinist to get topped or over bored slightly if needed
- open up the barrel transfer bottom more

red marker so I can tell if it is clearing the bolts, swingarm and the clutch cover:

next on the list is to open up the reed block base so the intake can flow as much as it can...!!

hope this works...!!

more pics...

Gear adjuster bolts mod:
grinded down that lip that is always there on these cases so that when in the scoot I have better wrench clearance and so I can get to that lock nut...!!
Image
Image

3.5x10 tire clearance mod:
I might have to so a little more...??
It clears everything by about a 1/4" which is fine I think
Image

Kickstart is not engaging so, as Tuna told me, it might be a bad kickstart spring (or not seated right) since if I lean engine over it engages and I can then turn over the crank...

another part to order.
