Rear BGM shock in and looking nice...!!

I had to force the engine shock mounting pin (on engine) a 1/2 inch to the engine side so that the shocks main spring would clear the 3.5x10 tire...

small taper Vespatronic flywheel on its way via SIP / P-Town...
hope to hear her running by the end of the month

to do asap:
- run power to the CHT/EGT gauge so I see it at night
- install the front BGM shock
- see if a 3.5x10 tire set up can fit on the front fork to balance the over all look of the scoot
:) :)

this looks nice for a mid tuned smallframe
very simular / same as the folk up in P-Town have created a few years ago for the track
I think J2 said you can still run the large single main spring too if desired

got all the parts to get this scoot back on the road...!!

I moved all the electronics over to the dry and safer battery side and did as much wiring as I can comprehend.

timing is set to 20 BTDC @ 2500ish rpm
timing advances from idle to 23 deg BTDC before retarding 8 degs
=
@ 8000 rpm = 15 deg BTDC

I'll leave it here for a while

got some advice from over the pond about this vespatronic...
there seems to be some contradicting info about where to set the timing and what it does when

I need to set my timing @ 2500ish rpms since the vespatronic advances the timing from idle to 1750 rpm and then starts to retard @ 4000 rpm...

this must be why my temps are slightly high and the CHT only goes down when I am ON the gas in the UPPER rpms...

good to know

the diagram
8 deg of total retard from the most advanced #
from idle the timing gets advanced by 3 degs and then starts to retard @ 4000 by 2 deg per 1000rpm (8 total)

busted....
got pulled over for a few valid reasons tonight
- no running light = warning since I can fix that and I did not know (stop light was working)
- no blinkers = shall plead ignorance since the scooter came that way and I have not been pulled over in 5 years... hopefully get that fine chopped in 1/2...!!

Well....
might as well get the rear facing lighting upgraded and add some blinkers / relay for said blinkers asap... I have a handlebar turn signal switch anyway on this V-100 smallframe so that shall make the transition easier.

Q's = do I have to run a battery for a blinker setup...??

I have a P battery that is healthy if that is needed.

going to go for
- LED blinker / running light fixture amber up on each side cowl (2) = duel intensity
Image

- duel LED tag bolts (4) = plate uses the white LEDs and the other reds rear facing LEDs can be for braking
