Too far retarded or advanced, either way will make it run hot or not all. (At least in the VW world). Makes the engine work against itself. Maybe 2 stroke is different...

i'm pretty sure it is cose to were it needs to be. plug chops and the cht/egt are all saying good temps

i'm going over to jarema's house tomorrow to do my timing though, so all will be good...
