3.00 x 10 inch tire

Postby Miguel » Thu Jan 30, 2014 2:16 pm

Anyone have one laying around for me to check size? My widebody tire rubs on the shock and I want to see if a slightly more narrow tire will make a difference. I really don't want to have to disassemble again.

I have some tires you can look at but when they are not mounted up they shall not give you real data on widths and what nots….

but you can also fix this issue with a hot air gun, jack and a razor

lift rear of the frame up so rear tire can spin easy
use hot air gun to warm up rubber where it rubs on shock
use razor to remove a little of the extra tire

I did this

I think the old tires were 3.00x10 so I wanted to mount one on the rim and check clearance. Got one? I have a gear for you, waiting for your call.

is your shock original? they flatten out over time. if so, replace the shock or spring and keep 3.5s

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/17 ... -rear-tire

you buy my extra rom me for 40.oo if you want
that way if it fits your engine then it can stay on your scoot

I won't need this size tire since I am razzing out 3x10's anyway
could use 40 bucks instead of a extra tire

thoughts…??
