May just do it, have to be back home by three though, or I turn into a pumpkin.

I need help if there's any takers. Scooter's dumping gas like a sieve. Wont start.

What else is new?

if it is out of the carb then the carbs float is sticking open
you can fix that by bouncing the whole scoot around a few times to dislodge it so it "floats"

even using a block of wood (no metal hammer) you can tap on the carb to jar it free

Ok, so tapping on it worked as far as dumping gas out the bottom of the scooter, but there's still some issues.

Will.... last time you were here you said the carb was loose again. I think it was loose again today because I took her out for a short spin for about a mile and while she seemed to idle well and shifted well and over all ran well, I could tell towards the end of my jaunt that she was getting ready to wind out like she did before. I killed it before it happened though.

So, I think the only solution is to get a new manifold. I'm gonna skip Saturday's ride because I'm sure she's gonna wind out and I don't want to blow up my motor.

Also, there's gas/oil coming out the tail pipe. Quite a lot when I first started it but I think she may have been flooded. I had to kick her over many times to get her going.

Anyone got any connections to a manifold? I'll ask Patrick as well.

if the carb's float is sticking open as I thnk it is then gas would flood top end making engine hard to start and also extra mixture would end up in exhaust. That would cause richer than normal settings and there is why your smoking / oily.

Manifold can be gotten cheap
I bet you can find one for free
as for it and you shall receive

most of the tuners who have gone down the "go-faster" road have these stock parts sitting around anyway
I'll check my parts when I can

is it a 16 or a 19mm manifold you need...??

1st ask Patrick if he has a manifold for free for you
if you take a flash light you should be able to read the carb info and see if it is 16 or 19

we can do the manifold swap
I hope that fixes this issue of it always getting a bit loose after a few miles

it could be the carb's flange too but Patrick would know better

I posted some photos up from the ride, added some fall/winter pics to 2013 and created a 2014 set for you to add your pics too.
